Whenever I visit Toowoomba I drop into this Cafe. The coffee is amazing and food is very tasty. Never disappoints. The staff are super friendly and its refreshing seeing the owner working in his owner business. I highly recommend a visit if you're travelling to Toowoomba.
Sunday lunch-easy to find a seat-blankets & pillows for a cooler day.Mama Buddha’s Lamb Curry-good quantity-very tasty.One of us loved it but too much Butter Chicken Sauce for me.Lemon & Berry Iced Tea was very refreshing.Service was good-polite & efficient.Prices are good .Would definitely recommend.
If you want happy, friendly service, great coffee & delicious food, look no further than The Finch!! Just stopped in Toowoomba & wandered into The Finch just on 7am. We were greeted with bright smiles & a friendly “Good morning”. The experience just got better from there! Barista is fantastic & KNOWS how to make a great decaf coffee complete with a gorgeous bear in there!! The food was exceptionally yummy & perfectly portioned to be just enough!! Thank you so much The Finch team!! This is the first leg of a very big road trip for us & you certainly set us up right for our next four hour leg in the car!!

Allow me to set the scene. We three friends have enjoyed sharing coffee and breakfast in downtown Toowoomba on a Saturday morning for so long we can’t remember. Certainly more than 10 years. We are mostly creatures of habit and frequent the same one or two cafes, even year in year out. Hey, if it ain’t broke. Our current regular Saturday morning spot chose to close over the Christmas break. So it is that we found ourselves at The Finch this morning. Somehow, this was my first visit. At 7:45am it was already brimming with patrons and had a welcoming vibe with families and couples alike - as well as we three ol’ blokes. The Finch is table service and today was a full house inside and outside. We managed to get the attention of one of the team. Despite being so busy, the young lady afforded us a warm and genuine smile as she took our orders for coffees and meals. Upfront she forewarned us that there would be delays in the service. This gave us time to chat and catch up as well as take in what a lovely venue we were sitting in. Lots of old world character without being gloomy. A beautifully maintained space with genuine charm. Back to breakfast - being so busy, the meals actually arrived sooner than we expected. Which brings me to why I’ve taken the time to write this. The Finch offers separate Breakfast and Lunch menus. The Breakfast menu offers the staples as well as a few House Specialties. I had Avo and Fetta with extras of Poached egg and Haloumi. It was fresh and plated as you might imagine with a healthy garnish of Rocket. Personally, I like the bitter of fresh rocket to balance the richness and saltiness of Fetta. So, in this instance, the salad element was a welcome gastronomic element rather than just plate filler. Both Mark & Steve ordered the Savoury Mince dish which as it turns out is a long standing house favourite. It is served in a deep sided dish and generously portioned. Food hwre is amazing. I Ordered the eggs, Benedict on a Croissant. The eggs where cooked to Perfection. The flavour or the bacon. The hollandaise sauce was balanced and very delicious. The Pancakes was very yummy. The mango and the side Fruit was nice with a Little bit of cinnamon. The staff are not on the ball some times but still was good :-)
I chose Finch for my early coffee and reading, and the truth is that it met my expectations: delicious coffee, calm atmosphere and loving staff☺️
The Finch Cafe is my favourite place to visit in Toowoomba. The team is so warm and welcoming and the coffee is so so good. They find me here almost every day. Charlotte and Emily are always working hard to provide the best service to their customers and they make a delicious coffee.
